UK Bolt driver tax calculator 2026/27
Turn private-hire earnings, mileage and platform costs into a tax reserve estimate.
How the Bolt driver estimate works
This page estimates sole-trader tax on Bolt and other entered private-hire takings after the chosen mileage or cost route. Combine all relevant apps once and avoid deducting platform charges already removed from a net income figure.

Questions about Bolt driver
Should platform fees be entered as a cost?
If takings are entered gross before the platform deduction, an allowable service fee is normally entered as a cost. Do not deduct it twice if the income figure is already net.
Can mileage and actual vehicle costs both be claimed?
Not for the same vehicle and period under simplified expenses. The mileage rate is intended to cover vehicle running costs, although certain non-vehicle business costs may still be separate.
About this estimate
This is a sole-trader estimate. It does not decide employment status or whether a particular cost is allowable.
